Do you supply connecting cables from the radio to the AmpKeyer?

NO.
It’s because of the mind numbing array of combinations! It would be impossible to supply the radio to AmpKeyer interface cables because of the various models of radios and the different type of plugs they use. There are different plug requirement from model to model within one company. Not all Icom radios use the same connector! Ditto for Yaesu!

When you purchase a new radio, there is usually a goodie bag with an extra fuse, mic holder and aux connectors.

Will the AmpKeyer work with my radio and amplifier?

More than likely it will. I can't possibly test every combination of every radio and amplifier ever made.

Will my ABC radio with the XYZ amp? Sure!

The only amplifier we have found that MAY cause trouble is the Swan 1200. This amplifier requires a +12 volt key line. This voltage normally came from the Swan transceiver. Swan had a simple mod that changed the key line from +12 source to key to ground keying. Unless you have one of the 1200 in perfect mint conditions, odds are the modification has been done. To check, turn on the amplifier and ground the key line. If the amplifier’s T/R relay clicks in, the mod has been done. Some homebrew amplifiers use 110vac keying. The AmpKeyer will not work as it will not switch 110vac.

Do I need one for my older radio like a Drake or Heathkit?

No, those radios have a relay inside that will key just about anything. However, the standby switch on the AmpKeyer is nice to have with the Heathkit SB-200 and SB-200 amplifiers

Will the Ampkeyer work with the Collins 30L1

Yes!

Do you supply the power supply?

No, but just about anything you can get pluged into the power jack will work. The AmpKeyer's power requirements are from 9V to 18V AC or DC. The AmpKeyer will select what it needs from whatever you supply it with. I have been told that some Ameritron amplifiers have a low voltage output that will run the AmpKeyer. That way, the AmpKeyer will be off until you turn on the Ameritron amp

If I don't like the AmpKeyer can I return it?

Yes, you can. You have 30 days for a complete refund, You eat shipping charges to and from SunLight Energy Systems however. The unit must be in as new condition with all manuals and paper work. A refund check will be sent.
